CGPA (Cumulative Grade Point Average) is a credit-weighted average of your GPA across all semesters: multiply each semester's GPA by its credit hours, sum those values, then divide by your total credit hours across every semester.
For example, a 3.5 GPA over 15 credits in one semester and a 3.8 GPA over 16 credits in the next gives a CGPA of (3.5×15 + 3.8×16) ÷ (15+16) ≈ 3.65.
A single-semester GPA only reflects the courses taken in that term. CGPA aggregates every semester you've completed, weighted by credit hours, giving a running average of your entire academic record. If you only need one semester's GPA from letter grades, use our GPA Calculator instead.
Leave the remaining semester fields blank, they're excluded automatically and won't affect your CGPA.
The GPA Calculator converts letter grades to a GPA for a single semester's courses. This CGPA Calculator combines multiple semesters' already-calculated GPAs, weighted by credits, into one cumulative figure.
