This tool lets you extract a range of pages (for example, pages 3 to 7) from a larger PDF and save them as a new, separate document. After uploading a file, it detects the total page count so you can choose exactly which pages to extract.
Splitting a PDF is useful when you only need to share, print, or archive a portion of a larger document, such as pulling one chapter from a report or isolating a signed page from a longer contract, without sending the entire original file.
Upload a 20-page report, the tool detects and shows '20 pages total', then set From Page 5 and To Page 9. The output is a brand new 5-page PDF containing exactly the original pages 5 through 9 inclusive, in their original order and formatting, pages 1-4 and 10-20 are simply left out. If you need pages 5-9 and separately pages 15-18, that's two separate runs of the tool, since only one continuous range is extracted per use.
Entering a page range using a document's printed page numbers (like a preface numbered i-v) instead of its actual position in the PDF file, the From/To fields count physical pages in the file starting at 1, not whatever page numbers are printed on the pages themselves.
Trying to extract two non-adjacent ranges in a single run, like pages 2-4 and 10-12 together, this tool extracts one continuous range at a time, run it twice and keep both resulting files if you need two separate ranges.
Forgetting the range is inclusive of both endpoints, From 5 To 9 extracts 5 pages (5, 6, 7, 8 and 9), not 4, miscounting this can leave you one page short or long of what you intended.
